Yearbook Sales
Believe it or not, it is already time to order your colorful 2009/2010 yearbook. 
Order forms are enclosed in your student’s Friday folder. This year we are excited because students have the opportunity to be involved in the cover design. Students will be allowed to submit an original design for the front cover of our 2009/2010 yearbook. Students may use any media such as paints, pencils, crayons, chalk, etc. The winning design must represent and reflect Running Creek and must be done independently by the student. Entries are due March 5, must be on 8 1/2 X 11 paper (no lines), uncreased (not folded or crumpled), and include the student’s name on the back. A panel of adults will be selecting the winning entry, which will then be featured on the cover of the yearbook. Good luck to all participants!

CSAP Testing
CSAP testing is starting next week with the 3rd Grade being tested on Thursday and Friday. You can help us do our very best by making sure your child is rested, fed, and healthy!
- Make sure your child has a good breakfast before he/she comes to school in the morning.
- Also, get them to bed at a reasonable time, so they won't be falling asleep during the tests.
- If your child is sick, please keep them home until they feel better.
- Finally, please try not to schedule appointments during their testing days.
Donations to Haiti
RCE is collecting donations for Haiti in the office. The Junior Ambassadors have decorated a donation box, so please give if you can. The news is reporting that more and more children have lost family members, their homes and their schools. All collected money will go to a general Haiti fund at the Red Cross organization. Thanks so much!

Just a reminder that every parent/guardian is invited to join the Running Creek PTCO. We are a fun group that hosts events for the school body and raises funds for the school. In the past, the PTCO has sponsored Mother/Child basketball games, Teacher appreciation week, Conference dinners and much more! Meetings are every month in the library. Child care will be provided. We would love to see new faces at the meetings, so come and see how you can help support RCE! |
